View the compression ratio of a storage group

Data compression efficiency is a measurement of the relative reduction in size of data representation that is produced by a data compression algorithm. It is typically expressed as the division of uncompressed size by compressed size.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system.
  2. Select STORAGE > Storage Groups .
  3. Select a storage group and click .
    The Data Reduction, Compression ratio, and VP Saved fields for the selected storage group are displayed.

    If data reduction is enabled on the storage group, a tick appears in the Data Reduction field. If data reduction is disabled, a horizontal dash is shown.
